Actor
I was first bit by the acting bug when I was only five years old and auditioned for a production of Rumplestiltskin that was put on by a touring children's theatre company. The felt bumblebee costume may not have been my finest look, but my time onstage was one I will never forget.
I have fallen into the trap many theatre artists, especially those from a smaller school, find themselves in: I wear a lot of hats. I have dipped my toes in nearly every part of theatre and have yet to find one that I really dislike...but everything I've tried I really love. Acting isn't always the first hat I put on or the "thing" about me that comes first, but that doesn't mean I value it any less. In fact, I think it makes me an even more valuable asset to the team.
With a background in design and the dramaturgy that comes with it, I am a very detail oriented actor. I want to dig into the inner workings of the script and find out everything possible about my character; the intimacy of really knowing and becoming that person onstage is what I pride myself the most in.
