I am a natural born leader and teacher, so when I was asked to direct a one act play my senior year of high school I leapt at the opportunity.

Immediately I fell in love with the process of digging into the script, creating the world of the show, and bringing it all to life.

I have a very structured approach to directing-

I take it one scene at a time and work through it verbally, then physically. I work slowly and methodically, making sure that each moment of emotion is genuine and backed by evidence from within the script.

The director has quickly become one of my favorite roles that I hold within the theatre. Whether it is for a short play, a full length musical, or anything in between; if I have the opportunity to dig into a script I will take it
